With over 40 years of experience in civil litigation, Matthew McDonough is a seasoned attorney and managing partner at KOW, where he has been an integral member since its inception. A partner for more than 30 years, he brings extensive legal expertise and strategic insight to every case.

Matthew McDonough is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the Nassau County Bar Association. His practice concentrates on the defense of complex medical malpractice claims and all types of general liability defense ligation. He has represented several major New York hospitals, physicians and healthcare systems, as well as defended high-stakes elevator and escalator accident cases.

In addition, Mr. McDonough has successfully argued appeals before both the First and Second Departments of the New York Appellate Division, further demonstrating his depth of legal knowledge and advocacy skills.

A graduate of St. John’s University School of Law, where he also earned his undergraduate degree, Matthew is known for his dedication, precision, and ability to foster close working relationships with others that most often lead to positive results for his clients.
